OSHA News for April 2022 Hello, March was a busy month. I finished another ASP-CSP prep class and many grant classes. Training is in demand so people are willing to wait a few weeks to get a spot. I am over 500 trained this quarter. It was good to talk to several during the Construction Safety Conference. It is always good to put a face to a social media name. I hope to get out on some more audits now that the weather should be warmer. This months ppt is on Workplace Harassment and Bullying. Illinois requires training every year for companies. On August 9, 2019, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed Senate Bill 75, the Workplace Transparency Act, which amended the Illinois Human Rights Act. The Act requires all employers in Illinois to provide sexual harassment training to all employees each year Let’s use April as a month to document equipment training. The permanent regulation would replace an emergency temporary standard that OSHA announced on Dec. 27 it was no longer enforcing because the agency missed a Dec. 21 deadline to issue the permanent version of the rule (RIN:1218-AD36). The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also preparing a separate infectious disease standard for health care. The OIRA review is typically among the last steps before a rule is enacted. OSHA hasn’t released details on what changes would be included with the permanent rule.
