OSHA News for December 2023 Hello, Another busy month of training and legal. I did get to my fourth data center this month. I like going to data centers because the general contractors are doing outstanding work. I get to see world class in construction safety. This month ppt is pile driving safety. There is a 2023 ANSI standard that has many new requirements. Many companies would not meet these requirements. I was looking for a letter exempting loose fitting respirator PAPR. Then I was reminded why it is not there. Why would we need an LOI to tell us this. It’s a “loose-fitting” style respirator so no fit test is required. Confined Space Pneumonia is killing 100 a week in IL. Pneumonia vaccines, for those who are eligible for them, probably won’t stop you from getting pneumonia.
