OSHA News for April 2024 Hello, Four months in and I have trained 1300 people. OSHA is present and I get calls wanting OSHA assistance. Usually, I refer them to people I know based on location. I am booked solid to the end of June. Giving an employee a safety handbook is not going to work if you expect them to read it. The testimony seems to be that the worker put in the truck or lost it. Weekly toolbox talks should be done and Monthly manager training. Several legal cases with the same surface falls. A walk around the workplace catch many of these hazards. Millions of salaried workers will soon qualify for overtime pay under a final rule released by the US Department of Labor on Tuesday. The new rule raises the salary threshold under which salaried employees are eligible for overtime in two stages.
